Sorry kurt tutschek Norm is Half right. That is not the Normandy beach in the second one. If you look at the caption, it says only that they land in France. Red Cross was always dropped off further from the actual troops and fighting. They are Non Combatant civilians, and a lot more worry was given to the safety of the workers when they got to France than the soldiers landings. There is a huge inconsistency in the information on the photo's and the article. The Photo says they started landing in June, however the article states it was Mid July till the first Clubmobile landing. That is quite a difference in time. So, perhaps a zealous worker was tweaking history a bit. Regardless, the share is wonderful. It isn't your fault they put misinformation on the site. And the bravery of these men and women to want to aid and comfort our men is astounding. Thank you, sincerely.
