I forgot how much I love swings.
I forgot how much I love swings. Someday this shot of my son and I will be vintage. Here are some other images of swings that go back to the early 1900s. Enjoy!

Swings
This week I had the opportunity to swing with my kids and my one of my best friends. It had me thinking about the universality, timelessness and power of the swing. From romance to children to adventure, the swing seems to be an almost universal experience.
I imagine long before we started documenting there existence there were swings hanging from the gardens in Babylon.
Most of these images I pulled from Shorpy Photo Archive.
