Was it a multiracial college or am I just seeing shadow on the face of the woman on the top right? If it was multiracial, that was very progressive for the time.
Charlotte Issyvoo I wish I could tell you more about this photo, but I don't know anything else about the circumstance. My mother-in-law researched and wrote extensively about the Black community in her small, midwestern hometown, growing up in the 20s, and that has been very interesting. I could perhaps check to see if she mentions the college in any relevant context.
