Oh, to be really jake again!

"If most of the 12-year-olds will be trekking back to school in a few weeks were allowed to pick their own clothes, they would probably select outfits similar to those shown on this page. Although in three of these pictures young John looks ill-groomed, he's really jake with all the boys at school because this clothes embody the accepted style features for the autumn of 1939."
