This is great post. People forget that hats were often adorned with animal feathers. At least one species is extinct from the process.

    Yep I see that too,..looks like a clothes hamper and waste basket, and a jello mold..lol...and the one on the bottom right, looks like a lamp shade..lol. :-))

    I have to wonder if these weren't a spoof on the hats of that time. I can just see some men's magazine making fun of women's fashions, "Stick feathers and fluff on anything and women will wear it! Harumph, harumph.
