Original Screenprint on Arches paper, printed by hand in 42 colors, numbered and signed in pencil. Edition 200 plus 15 artist's proofs. Image size 9 ½ x 14 inches with full margins.
by Marco Sassone. Tastefully framed.

This is one of Marco Sassone's earliest limited edition serigraphs and would be a prize for any collectors of his works..  For Sassone collectors, this would qualify as a rarity.

The reason that it would be considered a rarity for  Sassone collectors  is because of the year it was printed, the relatively small number of impressions, and because of the dark and forboding nature of the work.

Most of Marco Sassones' works are powerful due to his use of very bright vibrant colors that reflect his passion for life and the world around him. But Flood of Florence reflects the depression that he must have felt , as an artist,  as a native of Florence, and as a human being, when his city, his home town, and it's buildings, were damaged by a flood. A work of art like this gives the viewer the chance to see into the soul of the artist at a most vulnerable moment in their life.
