Thanks,Margaret Siemers ..I do agree that Ms. Lamarr was a truly glamorous actress from an era where glamour and film truly went hand in hand...but that Harvey Korman line is forever tied to her name, thanks to Mel Brooks! Harvey had some great lines in that movie. I also remember "Now, go do the voodoo that you do SO WELL" :)
Mike Srok That entire movie was a riot. The only thing is, the ending kinda let me disappointed. It was like someone looked at the clock, saw it was 5 Min. to deadline and hurried the end. Luckily, for me at least the entire previous movie bits and skits were its saving grace. Just my opinion. PS, I also love the line. "Badges! We don't need no Stinking Badges!"
It's a great photo, isn't it? Did you see how similar it is to the one of Hedy that I put in the same post? I had never noticed their similarity till I put this post together.
Some very beautiful women back then. Very glamorous.
ReplyDelete"That's Hedley!" Sorry for the Blazing Saddles reference, but I couldn't resist:)
ReplyDeleteMike Srok One letter changes all
ReplyDeleteBeautiful eyes.
ReplyDeleteMike Srok lol, was funny.

She shows up twice in my latest blog post: http://www.sublimemercies.com/2014/06/that-70s-woman-palette-pendant-and-power.html?utm_source=BP_recent
ReplyDeleteCharlotte Issyvoo Why don't you put here the second pictures of Rhoda Morgenstern, when she shows her legs, I like that picture!

ReplyDeleteCharlotte Issyvoo I've seen! You are right, they have similiraties, especially the same shape of the jaw and chin.
ReplyDeleteAnd brow bone a bit, I think. Valerie Harper's beauty is in her eyes, to me.
ReplyDeleteCharlotte Issyvoo So I say that her eyes ar... Seem sweeter, but Hedy Lamarr was much more beautiful, and she was very smart :-)
