Um, according to this I still have one from the 60's that is still doing its wiring thing for me. It was given to me by my mom when I "went to housekeeping" as they used to say around here, because she got a new one. That was back in 73. And I never knew that the entertainer Fred Waring was who it was named after. That was interesting. I think his original partner could be where the Oster name came from, they are similar names. I must put that on my "to do" list to find out sometime.
