Bubba or Goofy ?

As I do every year when the Masters Golf Tournament is happening, I post my Unlikely Foursome colored pencil drawing that I did years ago. I wonder what Walt Disney and Charles Schultz would think if they saw these guys playing together ?
Have a great week-end everyone, and Get After It !

  1. Well, my moneys on Snoopy to win, but I'm going to have to hang around in Goofys' gallery since he makes me laugh, and I've been able to laugh like Goofy ever since I was a little kid. That's the kind of influence this great character has had on my life.

  2. Snoopy does have his game face on, John Campbell , and excuse the pun, a dogged expression. I've been meaning to message you, John, with a link to my last film, World of Art . It can now be viewed on-line. Here it is:
    World of Art. Let me know.

  3. Loved it. Funny, Creative. Pleasantly existensial. And I also enjoyed the special effects. How did they make the Venus come alive with no arms ? Lots of nice bits. You were a good heavy.

  4. Thanks so much, John. Our Venus wore green arm length sleeves and the actual overdub was a shot of the original Venus' arms. The Director is a very clever editor, eh ? I had a great stunt coach, a professional Hollywood stunt man. He worked on The Poseidon Adventure among many others :-}

  6. John Kampsen I enjoyed your film very much. I am finding that when the video's and movies with dialog shown on Google are not closed captioned, there are very few things that one can follow if deaf. I am pleased to say that because of the way this was done, (sorry the technical word for it escapes me right now) It was better than most at letting you get the story through the visuals. I give you a Thumbs Up for the excellent film, but a Wagging Finger for not captioning it. : )

    I too thought the Special Effects were fantastic in this. Venus, yes that was one of my "How the Heck" moments. Another was the very realistic fire in the woods. I also had a laugh from "The Thinker" when he silently answered a question put to him.

    Again I must agree with our John Campbell as he points out you play a good heavy in this one. Hard to believe that this scowling, hard man was our sweet and sociable John Kampsen, but then, that is part of an actor's craft now isn't it.

    I would recommend to anyone to see this. I know I feel very privileged that you shared it with us here on "The Vintage Life". Thank you for entertaining me. : )
