    Cool Steve. Very good research. Like we all are here, I love history even in the little things of times past. It's a great learning experience. :-)

    Apparently the above ad, giving away free feathers for girls' dolls, was so successful that after 100,000 free feathers they started sending out letters apologizing for being unable to meet the demand.
