  2. Totally! It may come of having been raised poor. I've been wearing thrift shop clothes all my life. Or it may come of my fondness for my grandmother. Or it may come of my love of literature (I teach it in college). The more old literature I read, the more I wanted to know about the different periods when the pieces were written.

On Facebook, there are groups for people who like Mid Century Modern stuff, if you are interested.

  5. I've seen some of them and follow some of them. Mid century modern isn't actually my favourite. My home is full of 10s-40s stuff. I'm doing my new kitchen 50s but the rest of the place will be more 30s-40s. I'll post some photos as I go along.

  6. Did you see that I just wrote a blog piece about the kitchen? I can't remember if you did. It was fun to pull together: http://www.sublimemercies.com/2014/02/my-new-retro-kitchen-formica-and-chrome.html
