Ok, Just playing by not telling where I got this. I found this on "Us vs Th3m" in a slightly different fashion. I am NOT the worlds best snatch and grab when it comes to photo's. If the place does not have a G+ button I have to do the best I can. I thought it was fun. Hope you do too.
Ha ! I love this. I have so many young friends that post random quotes, without ever referencing who wrote , or said, those words, and in what context. Drives me nuts. It seems to be a very younger generation thing, because some of the kids that I know that do this relentlessly, are smart enought to know better, if they knew better.
Using the absurdly sad and morose has been a constant in humor for a long time. Charlie Chaplain built his career on it. Buster Keaton and Laurel and Hardy too. Mel Brooks. Billy Crystal. The list could go on of people using discomfort , sadness, pain, and misery, as fuel for funny. This was funny.

ReplyDeleteTotally agree John Campbell. It makes me want to drive to where they go to school and slap their high school writing teacher.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was teaching I was shocked by the amount of passing grades given to failing students.
