Pretty lady. I couldn't help but notice the collar around her neck, and even though the style seemed so constraining, I really like it. Makes her look very regal.
Thanks Rhonda Havlock and John Campbell it was such a treat to find this picture published in a historical book. I had only seen pictures of her when she was old. She passed away when I was about 3. She taught English at Frank Lloyd Write's Hillside School to all the new immigrants. She had wanted to be a nun until she met my grandfather who swept her off her feet.
How wonderful for you Chrissy. Finding family again, even if it is a photograph of a past relative, is a marvelous look into oneself. I praise the fates for your good fortune.
