A Sequoia tree cut down in the early 1900's by a family for fun. After awhile the US Government stepped in deeming the area a National Park. 

Some reports say the stumps were big enough for dance floors.

  3. They would have had to use steel wedges, just to keep the saw from getting stuck from the weight of that huge tree, no doubt.

  4. I think they can be almost 1500 years old so you know it is dense wood as well.
