I inherited this set from my grandmother. I will keep them stored in boxes until my twin boys grow a little older and more gentle.
What I love most about them is the memories of my grandparents and staying at their home. I remember all the loving meals my grandma would make. She loved to cook!
From what I understand about the dishes is that you would get points by shopping at a local grocery store and collect the set as you go. The funny thing is all my cousins fought over my grandma's china because it was in pristine condition. That is because she NEVER used it. It had NO meaning for me.

I have a similar vintage set. I use it everyday even with grand kids, found at an estate sale for $25.00 /set. I have found pieces on eBay to replace things broken and usually it is not too expensive. You should use that set if you like it.
