  1. My grandmother used to have crocheted dollies in her home. Thanks for the memories Charlotte Wirfs

  2. I used to be married to someone who wanted the house to look like a museum and we had these all over the place. They're gorgeous until someone actually wants to sit down, then they're a mess.

I actually had (from my Grandmother's button stash) a card of doily holders, tiny corkscrews with flower button tops, that were used to screw doilies down to upholstered furniture. We used those and it helped some, but still kind of a pain in the patoot.

And I give total props to the women who made these. I tried once and got one about the size of a coaster before I gave up! They had way more time and patience than I ever hope to have.

  3. Thanks Chissy and Elizabeth for those comments. My grandmother used straight pins and they were always working out. Corkscrew pins...she would have loved those. Question: How do I include the person's name with the +1 next to it like you did Chrissy?

  4. You actually have to type + in front of their name Charlotte Wirfs , then when you start typing the name there will be a drop down with names and you can choose the person you want. No space between the + and the name typing. :)
