MacIntosh Apples

Where do you go, to shoot, in the rain. The day I made this photograph, I went to Swan Lake Nurseryland, a place that is both a garden center and a slightly old-fashioned style grocery store. They have bins of fruit and vegetables outside (in the rain).

These MacIntosh apples may be the best old-fashioned pie making apples. In a pie, the flavor is good, the texture is good. To eat, they have a sharp tangy flavor with a lingering sweetness.
